Main responsibilities include:

  • Understand how the hardware design blocks within our Electronic Control Units (ECUs) work together with software and firmware, to provide a system level solution.
  • Perform testing on our ECU products using Laboratory measurement equipment, incorporating the generation of automated test scripts. Full training will be provided.
  • Under the guidance of experienced Hardware Engineers, you will be developing skills in Hardware Design and Test, through hands-on live project work with some of the world’s largest vehicle manufactures.
  • Perform proof of concept and prototyping activities for new design blocks and concepts
  • Gain valuable experience and knowledge in the areas of Radio Frequency, Analogue and Digital design
  • You will gain exposure to the generic Hardware Design Process and Product/Component Life-cycle management.
  • You will learn how to interpret customer specifications and the demanding requirements of the Automotive industry, and learn how they feed through into real product solutions.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support Project deliverables and vehicle testing.

Essential criteria:

  • You should be studying for a degree in Electronics (or one with a high Electronics content)
  • Exhibit drive, enthusiasm and ambition to succeed in a fast-moving design environment.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of electronic circuitry is desirable
