Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer


You would be joining the Mechanical Design Team and supporting the Design & Development of Tyre Pressure Sensors and other electronic products.

As you progress in this role you will have a good mix of following Engineering activities:

  • Reviewing customer specifications, highlighting deviations and risks for a particular product group.
  • Producing or updating mechanical concepts, detail design & component / assembly drawings.
  • Working across the various teams / suppliers to ensure that a new design or design change is suitable for manufacturing assembly, supplier manufacturing, cost effective.
  • Ensuring the appropriate design support activity is completed, Finite Element Analysis, DFMEA’s, etc.
  • Planning mechanical development / validation testing, ensuring completion and test report writing.
  • To provide Engineering support to the Customer through answering customer queries, giving presentations, attending meetings, supporting visits / production plants, etc.

Successful applicants are expected to have or expect to attain a 2:1 classification or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design. Candidates should also have an active interest in the 3D CAD environment and demonstrate the ability to design/work with detailed sub-assemblies.
