Placement R&D Development Engineer (Hardware & Embedded Software) (Ref: 21910172)

We are offering an exciting opportunity to be part of our Placement Development Scheme within R&D.  The role is based in our Technology Development Team and encompasses hardware and embedded software development for next generation products and technologies, incorporating Bluetooth Low Energy.  This is a multi-disciplined engineering role ideally suited to Electronic, Software & Computer Science Degree students.

Our Placement Development Scheme incorporates appropriate skills trainings, mentoring and progression towards an ILM Level 2 certificate.  This gives you effective team member soft skills in addition to the technical skills you will develop on your project work.


We seek enthusiastic and ambitious individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.  Applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong interest in areas such as IoT, Technology or Home Automation. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain invaluable experience within a progressive company with an exciting and high calibre work environment.

Previous experience with embedded software or Android application development would be desirable.

Successful applicants are expected to be working towards a 2:1 classification or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
