Headquartered in Antrim, Northern Ireland, we are the Market Leader in the design and manufacturing of Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS). From the beginning, the Schrader brand has been synonymous with innovation and have pioneered TPMS for global OEMs and a revolutionary, patented programmable sensor for the Aftermarket. TPMS is a safety feature now standard in all cars across North America and growing globally in Europe and Asian-Pacific countries. More than half of all global vehicle platforms utilise Schrader direct TPMS technology. By accurately monitoring tyre pressure, TPMS helps drivers avoid serious accidents, reduce environmental impact and save money at the pump. Our key customers for the products manufactured in Northern Ireland include Ford, Audi, Volkswagen, GM, BMW, Hyundai, Subaru, BYD, Great Wall and Mercedes.
Today Schrader delivers customer-driven innovation to a diverse spectrum of industries and applications from automotive to industrial production, to off road/heavy-duty equipment, marine to agriculture, aerospace, oil and gas, delivering valve and sensing solutions that protect and perform.
Schrader Electronics was acquired in 2014 by Sensata Technologies, the world’s leading supplier of sensors and controls. Sensata is a primary innovator in mission-critical sensors and electrical protection across a broad range of markets and applications.
The NI locations are in Antrim and Carrickfergus. The Antrim site hosts the Headquarters for Northern Ireland and UK Operations to include an R&D Centre and a Manufacturing Facility which produces a range of TPMS sensors. The R&D Centre is the largest of Sensata’s within Europe, hosting a wide variety of live innovative projects and is the company’s Wireless Centre of Excellence (wCOE), responsible for leading wireless-related technology direction across the business.
The site in Carrickfergus focuses on the Manufacturing of Products and Quality operations.
